InsurTech company ottonova receives €10m Series C

Germany-based InsurTech company ottonova has reportedly received €10m in its Series C investment round.

Investors contributing to the round included Debeka, Holtzbrinck Ventures, Vorwerk Ventures, Tengelmann Ventures, BtoV and STS Ventures, according to an article by FinSMEs.

The company is a healthcare insurance app, which offers two tariffs with a range of services available. A business-class protection and First-class tariff’s offer guaranteed room sizes when going to hospital, discounts on dental work and access to physicians, among others.

Ottonova’s app also allows clients to speak to the ‘concierge’, which offers a range of medical support and advice. This app also allows easy access to medical bills.

This funding round brings the company’s total capital raised to around $38m, with ottonova picking up a €10 investment from Debeka last month. Earlier this year the company also received a €15m Series A.
