UK InsurTech buzzvault stops writing policies as it is “undergoing a restructure”

British InsurTech startup buzzvault has put a stop to the selling of its insurance policies in the UK.

“We are currently undergoing a restructure of our insurance business which means we are no longer selling insurance policies in the UK,” the company says in a statement on its website.

It gave no reason for closing down the sales of new services, but asked anyone who had been sent a valid quotation or renewal invitation and current buzzvault policyholders who would either like to make changes to their polices or who would like to cancel it to contact the venture.

The Financial Conduct Authority-regulated company is backed by White Mountains Insurance Group.
