dacadoo launches its Wheel of Life platform to help insurers improve customer engagement

Digital health engagement platform dacadoo has launched the next generation of its services, the Wheel of Life, which it claims will revolutionise the way life and health insurers connect with their members.

This new product, which is available on the Play Store and the App Store, is aimed to improve digital health engagement experiences.

Insurers can streamline member acquisition, whether it is individual policyholders or group coverage plans. Clients can increase the upsell and cross-sell insurance products, and improve member retention and loyalty.

By integrating the tool, insurers can also access insights about their clients and provide them with personalised products.

dacadoo chief product officer Yasmina Tregan said, “We have been overwhelmed with the amount of interest Wheel of Life has generated so far. We’re proud to see our efforts come to fruition after many years of perfecting our platform and technology! Our team is now working around the clock to get this exciting update of our platform implemented for many insurers worldwide very soon.”

Headquartered in Switzerland, dacadoo develops and operates a mobile-first digital health engagement platform that encourages people to live healthier and be more active. It achieves this through behavioural science, gamification principle, social networking, and AI and digital coaching.

A recent survey completed by dacadoo found that 81% of life and health insurers are implementing health and wellbeing propositions to their product offering as a result of the global Covid-19 pandemic.

Through the Wheel of Life, insurers can measure and quantify the physical and mental health, quality of sleep and nutrition, mindfulness, physical activity, smoking habits and alcohol intake to monitor their health. A score is given to them and ways to improve it.

dacadoo president and CEO Peter Ohnemus said, “The Life & Health insurance industry is getting serious about their digital transformation. This means that they will be moving from a payer only partner to an Insurance as a Service (IaaS) provider.

“Our Wheel of Life Digital Health Engagement Platform allows insurers to connect and engage with their policyholders in a unique manner, whilst providing a relevant and useful service that helps them lead healthier lifestyles. That’s why I’m so excited about our global roll-out of Wheel of LifE, which is revolutionizing the Life & Health insurance landscape.”

The InsurTech recently partnered with financial services firm Foresters Financial to create a platform that will encourage healthy living.
