Auckland-based insurance company Tower Insurance has teamed with Allianz Partners to offer pet insurance for cats and dogs.
According to Coverager, the pet insurance policy covers injury and illness, specialist treatments and optional dental care, and also provides a multi-pet discount. Premiums will start at $3 a week for cats and $4 a week for dogs.
Tower has detailed it plans to celebrate the launch by offering customers one free month of coverage.
Allianz Partners NZ CEO Kevin Blyth said, “We are delighted to support Tower, New Zealand’s only listed general insurer, to introduce a range of products to Kiwis and their pets. Allianz recently entered into an agreement with London-based InsurTech Cytora to enhance Allianz’s commercial insurance business with AI-based digital risk processing solutions.
