SURE, a member-owned insurance company for reliable coastal asset protection, has expanded its coverage to be available in North Carolina.

SURE’s North Carolina Homeowners Insurance is written, distributed and serviced by SageSure, a leader in disaster-exposed property insurance.
According to NOAA, North Carolina ranks fourth among the US states with the most landfall storms from 1851-2020, behind only Florida, Texas and Louisiana. SURE said the state has suffered 14 tropical cyclone billion-dollar disaster events over the past ten years.
SURE also highlighted that North Carolina’s property insurance market is tightening up, amid growing devastation in the state. More carriers are restricting underwriting consideration, removing coverage and increasing prices. SURE said some carriers have even left the state altogether.
