Medical care and travel startup Air Doctor and ERGO Travel Insurance’s partnership has recently been recognised for its innovative solutions and products.
Air Doctor, the insurtech app that’s helping travelers find local doctors abroad, and leading insurance partner, ERGO Group Reiseversicherung teamed up last year.
ERGO Travel Insurance launched a service in collaboration with the travel InsurTech that would allow its customers to receive medical assistance anywhere in the world.
The two companies have received two innovation awards. The first award, the Digitaler Luchtturm Versicherung Award was presented to the partnership in the category: Real Solutions for the Customer. And the second award, the German Excellence Awards 2023 for the Products & Services category.
The awards recognise on-going contributions in areas such as digital transformation, customer experience, and product innovation, acknowledging the partnership for the companies’ innovative solutions and customer-centric accomplishments in the insurance landscape.
Air Doctor said its solution pairs well with ERGO’s customer-centric outlook. With the startup by their side, the insurer can give its customers access to a medical network of over 20,000 local doctors across 75 countries.
This means ERGO’s customers can find a doctor who speaks their language, book a consultation, get treated and continue with their travels, without needing to pay for the appointment and no unnecessary claims processes.
