Arturo, a leading property intelligence company, has appointed InsurTech industry titan Jeffrey Taylor as its new Chief Strategy Officer.
Taylor brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having served in various leadership capacities at Xactware, subsequently acquired by Verisk. His tenure spanned over two decades included significant contributions in product development and partnerships within the insurance and property sectors.
Apart from his extensive experience in the insurance and property sectors, Taylor’s background in construction management and roofing provides him with a unique perspective on property conditions and disaster response, augmenting Arturo’s capabilities in remote property analysis.
Speaking on his new role, Taylor said, “There are great headwinds plaguing the P&C insurance industry. Climate change has made it much harder to measure risk today, and legacy systems and outdated datasets are not helping. Today’s insurance customers want what anyone wants: clarity, a fair price, fast service, and to be made whole, but the aforementioned problems are holding the industry back from meeting those expectations.
“That’s why I’m excited about this opportunity. Arturo has a lot of potential with their strong foundation of accurate, fast property intelligence. And it’s not data in a vacuum; it has a proven record of helping carriers do everything from alleviating the burden on customers at quote to getting people help faster than ever before in the wake of some of the most catastrophic natural disasters,” he continued.
Arturo specialises in providing comprehensive property intelligence solutions encompassing underwriting, risk assessment, claims processing, and insights driven by catastrophic events. Their mission centres around empowering stakeholders with the necessary insights to make informed decisions and mitigate risks effectively.
Marty Smuin, CEO at Arturo, added, “In our industry, there isn’t a more respected or experienced person than Jeff. Jeff has a tremendous track record and has led many transformational movements within InsurTech. We are thrilled to have him join our team and help lead Arturo into the future.”
