Intermap Technologies, a global leader in 3D geospatial products and intelligence solutions, has introduced its Aquarius RMA software and the latest generation of flood risk solutions for the Slovakian market.
This has been achieved through a pair of new partnerships with KBC Slovakia and UNIQA Slovakia.
KBC Slovakia, a major insurer in the Slovakia insurance and financial markets, has adopted Intermap’s flood risk solution for the entire country, including its subsidiaries ČSOB Poisťovňa and ČSOB Banka.
Peter Čahoj, Director of Underwriting and Product Management at ČSOB Poisťovňa, stated, “Intermap’s latest flood maps allow us to work efficiently with our portfolios and more accurately assess the likelihood of river or flash flooding, which has become increasingly frequent, in a particular location. The software also helps clients to take measures that can mitigate flood damage or assist in making decisions about buying a property and setting up the right insurance policy.”
Leveraging cutting-edge flood modelling technology, Intermap’s Aquarius RMA software provides precision flood risk maps, offering comprehensive insights into flood vulnerability to facilitate effective flood insurance underwriting.
The introduction of of the innovative flood risk solutions comes in response to the increasing frequency of river and flash flooding in Slovakia.
By utilising the latest flood maps, insurers can efficiently manage their portfolios and accurately assess flood risk in specific locations.
UNIQA Slovakia, another prominent insurer, has also subscribed to Intermap’s latest flood risk solution, aiming to enhance flood exposure mapping and property insurance underwriting accuracy.

Intermap is also currently in negotiations to finalise new subscriptions with additional insurers in Slovakia as part of its mutual agreement with the Slovak Insurance Association.
