EagleView boosts insurance claims efficiency with upgraded drone-based inspections

EagleView, a leading provider of drone and asset intelligence for the insurance industry, has expanded its drone technology offerings to provide insurance carriers with more comprehensive property inspections, analysis reports, and repair estimates.

The company, known for its advanced aerial imagery solutions, aims to further streamline claims processing and enhance efficiency for insurers.

The decision to expand its offering stems from the growing demand for faster and more accurate property assessments in the insurance sector.

Traditional inspection methods can be time-consuming and prone to human error, whereas automated drone-based assessments offer more reliable results, ultimately reducing operational costs for insurers.

EagleView specialises in providing aerial imagery and property intelligence solutions. The company has been serving the insurance industry for over two decades, offering insurers critical insights through its advanced imaging and data analytics platforms. By leveraging drone technology and artificial intelligence, EagleView helps insurers enhance their claims evaluation and decision-making processes.

The latest upgrade to EagleView AssessTM, the company’s drone-powered property inspection tool, introduces property repair estimates in addition to roof inspections and damage analysis. The solution utilises American-made drones to capture high-resolution imagery, which is then analysed using AI and machine learning algorithms to detect roof abnormalities. The newly added repair estimate feature enables insurers to further optimise claims workflows by providing accurate cost evaluations for repairs.

The inspection process is straightforward: a drone captures images of the property, an AI-driven analysis detects damage, and a repair estimate is generated. The estimates are delivered via email or through an estimatics platform, seamlessly integrating with Xactimate to provide an efficient, end-to-end claims solution.

“By further enhancing the options and features for EagleView AssessTM, we took the next logical step in driving innovation within the claims evaluation sector of the insurance industry,” EagleView CEO Piers Dormeyer said. “We have been providing our aerial imagery and property data to insurance companies for over 20 years, and property insurers trust us to provide the photographic documentation, damage detection, and insights they need to make the right claims decisions.”

EagleView recognises that insurance carriers have unique claims evaluation processes. The company’s goal is to provide flexible solutions tailored to insurers’ needs. “While there are many standard claims adjusting practices throughout the industry, it is the variations that individualise each carrier and define how they respond to claims,” EagleView’s vice president for insurance drone solutions, Courtney Cooke, said. “Our job is to meet each carrier where they need us, and these enhancements offer more choices and flexibility for our insurance clients.”
