Experian partners with Root Insurance to bring personalised auto coverage to its digital marketplace

HUB International, a leading global insurance brokerage, has launched HUB Private Client Small Business Solutions, an offering developed to cater to high-net-worth individuals starting or managing entrepreneurial ventures.

Experian, a global data and analytics company, and Root Insurance, an InsurTech specialising in personalised auto insurance, have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at integrating Root’s auto insurance offerings into Experian’s digital marketplace platform.

The collaboration seeks to simplify the auto insurance purchasing process for consumers, according to InsurTech Insights.

By embedding Root’s services within Experian’s ecosystem, users can compare, select and purchase coverage without navigating away from the platform—enhancing the customer journey and advancing Experian’s broader objective of supporting financial wellness.

Experian operates as a major player in the data and analytics space, offering credit reports, scores, and financial tools aimed at helping consumers and businesses manage their finances. Its digital marketplace serves as a one-stop platform where users can access tailored financial services, including loans, credit cards, and now, auto insurance.

Root Insurance is a U.S.-based InsurTech firm that leverages data science and technology to offer personalised auto insurance policies. By analysing driver behaviour and other key factors, Root provides customised rates designed to offer better value and transparency to users.

The integration of Root into Experian Marketplace broadens the insurance options available to consumers, aligning with both companies’ goals of increasing accessibility to digital financial products. The partnership enhances the range of services within Experian’s platform and allows Root to extend its reach to a wider customer base via Experian’s large-scale user environment.

Additional promotional efforts across social channels such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook indicate the companies are keen to generate awareness around the partnership and its benefits for end-users.

Experian executive vice president, ECS Marketplace, Rakesh Patel said, “As we continue to empower consumers with more ways to improve their financial health, we are excited to add Root Insurance to our marketplace. Root’s innovative approach and customer-centricity align perfectly with our mission to provide a superior shopping experience and competitive rates that cater to consumers’ needs.”

Root SVP of business development, Jason Shapiro said, “Root’s partnership with Experian strengthens our ability to deliver personalized, transparent, and accessible insurance to consumers. This collaboration reinforces our commitment to using the power of data and technology to drive innovation. Together, we’re empowering individuals to take control of their insurance journey.”
