SafeWeb, a provider of AI-powered cyber security solutions for small businesses (SMBs), has formed a partnership with Chubb, a global leader in insurance, to enhance cyber resilience for SMEs through an all-in-one protection solution.

The result of this collaboration is SafeWeb Pro, a new offering that combines cyber protection technology with integrated insurance coverage.

The primary goal of the partnership is to provide small businesses with a unified solution for detecting, preventing, and responding to cyber incidents, while also offering insurance coverage to mitigate financial risks.

This comes at a time when around 80% of SMBs reportedly faced some form of cyber incident in the past year, highlighting the growing necessity for accessible and effective cyber protection.

SafeWeb has positioned itself as a security-first platform tailored specifically to small businesses.

Its key value proposition is simplicity and affordability, offering features such as dark web monitoring, phishing simulations, breach response tools, and a privacy toolbox—all accessible via a monthly subscription model and instant onboarding.

Chubb, on the other hand, brings its insurance expertise to the collaboration. Through SafeWeb Pro, eligible users will have access to Privacy Liability insurance provided by Chubb and distributed via digital broker Superscript.

This insurance component includes several valuable protections: coverage for privacy-related damages, regulatory fines (where legally insurable), legal defence costs, subcontractor liability, and unintentional regulation violations.

This integrated product delivers a rounded solution to SMBs by addressing both technological vulnerabilities and the financial repercussions of a breach. SafeWeb Pro thus offers comprehensive coverage from prevention to legal recourse.

Additional notable benefits include enhanced legal protection, support in the event of third-party data mishandling, and insurance for subcontractor-related data breaches—making it a standout offering in the SMB cyber protection space.

“At SafeWeb, we are dedicated to providing our clients with insurance and cybersecurity tools through SafeWeb Pro, helping them navigate these challenges with confidence,” SafeWeb founder Daan Donders said.

“Our partnership with SafeWeb reflects our commitment to supporting small businesses in managing cyber risks effectively. By offering privacy liability insurance we aim to empower these businesses by helping to protect their business should a cyber incident occur,” Chubb chief underwriting officer for the United Kingdom, Ireland and South Africa Hilda Toh said.
