AdvanceCare taps Sprout.ai for 60-second health claims

AdvanceCare, a major health insurance third-party administrator (TPA), has deepened its collaboration with London-based InsurTech Sprout.ai to enable health insurance claims to be processed in as little as 60 seconds.

AdvanceCare, a major health insurance third-party administrator (TPA), has deepened its collaboration with London-based InsurTech Sprout.ai to enable health insurance claims to be processed in as little as 60 seconds.

The goal of the partnership is to reduce claims processing time and boost accuracy through advanced artificial intelligence and automation, according to FF News.

As health insurance claims grow more complex, AdvanceCare is leveraging Sprout.ai’s technology to streamline its operations, minimise manual input, and allow staff to focus on high-touch, complex cases.

Although AdvanceCare had previously integrated automation into its claims process, the addition of Sprout.ai’s patented platform has elevated its capabilities. Automation levels have increased by over 10%, with the solution now deployed across hospital, dental, and pharmacy claims. More than one million claims have been processed via the platform over the past year, delivering both speed and precision for a wide member base.

Sprout.ai’s platform uses a combination of artificial intelligence and proprietary optical character recognition (OCR) to extract, structure, and analyse data from medical documents and invoices. This removes the need for manual data entry, giving claims handlers instant access to all relevant information for faster and more informed decisions.

The integration comes as 62% of healthcare leaders now report growing delays in claims reimbursements — up from 51% in 2022. By tackling this widespread pain point, the collaboration is helping AdvanceCare position itself as a leader in digital health insurance innovation across Europe.

Since the start of their partnership in 2022, Sprout.ai’s expanding role within AdvanceCare reflects a broader shift in the InsurTech sector toward smart automation that empowers, rather than replaces, human claims expertise. The increased speed and accuracy enable experienced staff to focus on nuanced cases, ensuring a high standard of service.

Additional benefits cited by the companies include cost savings and improved productivity, aligning with AdvanceCare’s mission to improve healthcare inclusion and accelerate digital transformation across the insurance sector.

Sprout.ai CEO Roi Amir said, “When it comes to health insurance, speed and accuracy are paramount. This collaboration proves that AI doesn’t just improve efficiency – it enhances the customer experience at scale. AdvanceCare has shown what’s possible when innovation is embraced across an entire claims ecosystem.”

AdvanceCare operations director Liliana Silva added, “Our customers highly value the digital reimbursement solution that we provide through our app and web portal. Focusing on efficiency also means focusing on time resolution and the quality of service we provide to our customers. This is why we see AI as a useful tool and look for solutions that contribute to this, such as Sprout.ai.”
