AXA XL, a leading provider of cyber insurance, has partnered with Fenix24, a global expert in ransomware response and recovery, to offer enhanced cybersecurity assessment services to its cyber policyholders across North America.

The partnership was formed to address the growing need for proactive cyber risk management beyond traditional insurance policies.

By combining AXA XL’s insurance expertise with Fenix24’s technical assessments, they seek to enhance organisations’ ability to prevent, withstand, and recover from cyberattacks, particularly ransomware incidents.

AXA XL specialises in cyber insurance solutions that help companies manage complex cyber risks. It offers tailored policies that provide financial protection and risk mitigation support for cyber incidents. Meanwhile, Fenix24 is recognised globally for its ransomware response capabilities, assisting organisations in recovering quickly from ransomware attacks and closing critical security gaps before incidents occur.

As part of the collaboration, AXA XL policyholders gain access to three specialised cybersecurity assessments from Fenix24. These include the Ransomware Backup & Resiliency Assessment, which evaluates system and data survivability after an attack and sets realistic recovery expectations; the Firewall Hardening Assessment, which focuses on identifying and addressing perimeter vulnerabilities; and the Active Directory Hardening Assessment, designed to secure core identity infrastructure and prevent privilege escalation.

These assessments are offered to AXA XL clients at a discounted flat rate per service, a benefit available exclusively through 2025. This pricing incentive aims to encourage organisations to adopt stronger cybersecurity measures proactively.

Gwenn Cujdik, AXA XL’s incident response and cyber services lead, said, “At AXA XL, we know cyber risk demands more than just a policy. By teaming up with Fenix24, we’re giving organisations powerful new tools to boost their defences, speed up recovery, and stay resilient against today’s cyber threats. This is about helping them stay resilient—no matter what comes their way.”

Mark Grazman, Fenix24 CEO and co-founder, added, “Operational resiliency is the new standard in cyber defence. Partnering with AXA XL allows us to bring battle-tested assessments to the frontlines, before an incident occurs, so we can help organisations close critical security gaps, reduce business risk, and bounce back faster if they’re ever hit.”
