Herald and Joshu join forces to speed up insurance launches

Herald and Joshu have announced a partnership aimed at transforming how insurers develop and distribute digital products, with the goal of significantly cutting time-to-market.

The collaboration links Herald’s unified API for multi-carrier quoting with Joshu’s award-winning no-code underwriting and distribution platform, delivering an end-to-end solution for insurers, managing general agents (MGAs) and brokers. This integration enables faster product launches.

The deal merges Joshu’s API-first, no-code platform — capable of launching digital insurance products in under 100 days — with Herald’s extensive API capabilities and network of digital distribution partners.

This combination allows insurers to connect new products to a broad range of distribution platforms instantly, streamlining the process of reaching multiple markets and enabling digital distributors to expand their offerings more efficiently.

Joshu CEO and co-founder Roy Mill said, “This partnership is about speed and simplicity. Joshu’s has been helping insurers launch their products to market faster. Our partnership with Herald and its extensive network of digital distributors means that Joshu’s clients can now become accessible to hundreds of producers nationwide with a flip of a switch.”

By linking the traditionally separate areas of product development and distribution, the joint solution removes friction from the insurance innovation process. Through Joshu’s no-code interface, insurers can configure and launch fully-rated products, while Herald’s API connects them to more than 60 commercial insurance lines from leading carriers, enabling real-time quoting, binding, and policy issuance via a single integration.

Herald CEO and co-founder Matt Antoszyk said, “Together, we’re eliminating the friction that has long slowed down insurance innovation. Joshu makes it easy to build and rate new products, and Herald ensures those products reach the market through modern, API-driven distribution.”

This combined approach is particularly suited for MGAs, carriers and InsurTech platforms seeking to digitise specialty lines, improve underwriting efficiency, and expand reach without heavy IT investment.

Users can build products in Joshu and distribute them via Herald’s API without writing a single line of code, offering a flexible and scalable pathway from product ideation to market launch.
