Equisoft, a leading global digital solutions provider, has announced an ISV Built On partnership with Databricks, the data and AI company, to deliver a new integrated analytics platform for life insurance carriers.

The collaboration aims to help insurers modernise legacy systems and accelerate their adoption of artificial intelligence in an industry under mounting digital pressure, according to FF News.

The partnership combines Equisoft’s three decades of life insurance domain expertise and pre-built insurance models with Databricks’ market-leading Data Intelligence Platform. The solution targets a critical challenge for carriers, who reportedly spend up to 70% of their IT budgets maintaining ageing systems while striving to become AI-ready.

“By integrating Databricks’ Data Intelligence Platform with Equisoft’s insurance-specific analytics capabilities, carriers gain access to a governed, scalable platform supporting everything from basic dashboards to advanced machine learning and emerging agentic AI applications,” said Ghassan Karam, AVP of Core Insurance at Equisoft. “This is particularly valuable for carriers managing multiple products, distribution channels, and regulatory requirements across different jurisdictions. The platform allows them to transform quickly into AI-capable enterprises without the significant time and investment typically required to build custom solutions.”

Marcela Granados, Global Head of Insurance & Professional Services at Databricks, added: “Insurance carriers need to move beyond treating AI as a distant goal and instead focus on building the robust data foundations that make AI deployment and scaling possible. The Databricks Data Intelligence Platform empowers carriers to responsibly unlock the potential of data and AI, supporting digital modernisation, compliance with evolving regulatory requirements, and improved policyholder outcomes. Partnering with Equisoft allows us to accelerate innovation across the insurance ecosystem and enable data-driven transformation at scale, delivering meaningful business outcomes while ensuring adherence to standards such as IFRS 17.”

The new platform exemplifies a growing trend in the InsurTech sector, where carriers increasingly seek partnerships that combine industry-specific knowledge with advanced data and AI capabilities. By addressing the dual pressures of modernisation and regulatory compliance, the collaboration positions both Equisoft and Databricks to help insurers navigate the future of digital transformation efficiently and effectively.
