SageSure, one of the largest managing general underwriters in the US focused on catastrophe-exposed markets, has appointed John Sence as its new chief sales officer.
The firm said Sence joins from the Cincinnati Insurance Companies, where he most recently served as vice president of personal lines national sales, bringing decades of experience in both carrier and agency leadership to his new role.
He will oversee sales strategy, expand distribution channels, and drive high-impact producer engagement, supporting the company’s commitment to growth and partner success.

The role highlights the New Jersey-based company’s focus on delivering a market-leading buying experience for producers. From onboarding new business to claims handling, the organisation has invested in system enhancements, new capabilities in earthquake and wildfire coverage, and expansion into mass-affluent segments.

Before joining SageSure, Sence led national sales at Cincinnati Insurance Companies, managing growth across 45 states and focusing on middle and high-net-worth markets. His career spans both underwriting and agency operations, including 14 years in the independent agency system, where he built his own book of business and led sales teams.
