Zain Group has launched Kuwait’s first fully digital, end-to-end motor insurance application, marking a significant milestone in the country’s insurance and telecom sectors.
Developed in partnership with Boubyan Takaful Insurance Company, part of the Boubyan Group, the Zain Insure platform enables customers to receive an instant quote, purchase policies, manage renewals, file claims and store documents — all within a single mobile app, according to FF News.
Users can complete the entire process digitally, from onboarding through to claims resolution.
The launch reflects Zain’s ongoing transformation into a TechCo as it expands beyond telecom services into customer-first digital solutions designed to simplify everyday experiences.
It also marks one of Kuwait’s first large-scale digital insurance partnerships between a major telecom provider and an established financial services group.
Zain says the digital insurance offering will gradually expand beyond Kuwait, with plans to introduce Zain Insure services across Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan and Saudi Arabia, offering motor, device and additional insurance lines tailored to local market needs.
Malek Hammoud, Zain Group’s Chief Digital Investment Officer, said, “The financial services industry remains a core area of development and investment at Zain, and the launch of Zain Insure underpins our competencies in technology innovation, customer centricity, and convenient delivery of financial services. This is just the beginning for this highly in-demand and fast-growing area of activity.”
Ebrahim Al-Khuzam, CEO of Boubyan Takaful, added, “We are proud to partner with Zain on Kuwait’s first fully digital motor insurance platform — a milestone that reinforces Boubyan Takaful’s position as a market leader in digital insurance solutions. Our strategic partnership reflects our shared commitment to introduce technology-driven experiences that simplify and enhance access to insurance services.”
He said Boubyan Takaful’s strategy is to embed insurance seamlessly into everyday interactions, moving beyond traditional policy purchase models towards “invisible yet essential” protection integrated into customer experiences.
The launch of Zain Insure supports Kuwait Vision 2035, advancing national goals around digital transformation, financial inclusion and customer-first service delivery. Zain said the initiative also builds on its long-standing history of expanding mobile financial services across the region.
The Zain Insure app is available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
