One Inc, a digital payments network focused on the insurance industry, has launched new AI-driven capabilities aimed at transforming how insurance carriers integrate with its platform and manage payment data securely.
At the centre of the launch is Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open protocol designed to work with a client’s own large language model (LLM)–based AI assistants, including Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise and Microsoft Copilot, according to FF News.
The new product has been introduced in response to growing demand from insurers for faster integrations, deeper insight into payments data and stronger security controls. As carriers increasingly adopt AI across their operations, One Inc is positioning MCP as a way to remove friction from onboarding, reduce manual processes and allow insurers to modernise their payments infrastructure without compromising governance or compliance.
MCP enhances the PremiumPay and ClaimsPay solutions by significantly reducing time to go-live and enabling AI-assisted integration.
For developers, the protocol supports AI-driven code generation, documentation, validation and automated testing, accelerating deployment timelines. For business users, MCP delivers secure, on-demand access to insights, advanced reporting and AI-generated analysis tailored to organisational requirements.
A key differentiator of MCP is its enterprise-first design. Rather than operating within a centralised, vendor-hosted environment, MCP runs inside each customer’s own IT-approved AI framework.
All data access is permissioned, authenticated and fully auditable, with credentials managed under existing security structures. Its standards-based architecture ensures AI assistants interact with One Inc solely through governed APIs, maintaining strict control over data flow and behaviour.
Unlike traditional AI features that limit analysis to vendor environments, MCP allows insurers to combine One Inc payments data with internal systems and proprietary models within corporate AI platforms. This approach supports broader analysis, improved fraud controls and greater operational flexibility while preserving security and compliance.
One Inc CEO Ian Drysdale said, “MCP is a meaningful step forward for our customers. Our clients depend on One Inc to innovate with insurance-grade data security in mind. By enabling AI-driven, near real-time access to critical payments data, we are empowering carriers and developers to work more efficiently, accelerate deployment, and establish a new standard of trust across the insurance industry.”
