Zinnia, a life and annuity technology company, has unveiled a fully digitised in-force annuity servicing capability aimed at eliminating paper-based processes from post-issue transaction management.
The new offering, built within Zinnia’s Zinnia Live platform, brings carriers, distributors, advisors and consumers into a single connected workflow. It allows users to initiate, review, complete and track servicing transactions digitally, doing away with paper forms, PDFs, wet signatures, manual validation and carrier-specific portals.
The launch targets a persistent shortcoming in the industry: while annuity sales have undergone considerable digitalisation, in-force servicing has largely remained dependent on paper, resulting in delays, submission errors and poor visibility across the value chain.
For carriers, the new approach means transactions arrive complete and ready to process first time, reducing the need for repeated follow-ups and rework. Distributors and advisors gain a single location through which to manage servicing across multiple carriers, while consumers benefit from a faster, clearer experience with fewer back-and-forth delays.
The capability initially focuses on high-volume transaction types such as withdrawals, with the broader framework designed to accelerate processing, improve submission accuracy and deliver real-time visibility into transaction status.
Zinnia CEO George Esposito said, “Annuity servicing has been one of the last major analog frontiers in the life and annuity industry.
“We have changed that. In-force servicing is where the promise made at the point of sale gets tested, and too often, that experience falls short. Zinnia has built a fully digital way to manage in-force annuity contracts end to end, removing the forms and friction that have slowed the industry down for decades.”
Zinnia chief product officer Michael Celi said, “Digitizing servicing is not just about putting a form online. It’s about bringing data, workflows, and systems into one connected experience. That is what Zinnia has built, so annuity servicing operates with speed, visibility, and confidence that advisors and consumers already expect.”
