insureMO, the global insurance Middle Office platform provider, has been chosen by Protec General Insurance, a newly licensed Indian general insurer, to construct an AI-native insurance core for the business.
The partnership positions APIs as a central driver of expansion, with the platform intended to support Protec’s ambitions to scale rapidly across India’s insurance market through the launch of both retail and commercial lines products.
Protec will draw on insureMO’s broad API set, covering product configuration, rating and quotation, underwriting, policy issuance and servicing (spanning endorsements, renewals and cancellations), billing and payments, claims, documents, and distribution. This is intended to give the insurer a modern, adaptable technology base built to speed up innovation, streamline operations and underpin sustained expansion.
Through the tie-up, Protec gains an AI-ready, ecosystem-friendly insurance core built on microservices, alongside adaptable, AI-driven product configuration tools. insureMO’s API library is also designed to let Protec bring products to market faster and link up with distribution partners and wider ecosystem players at lower cost.
Among the capabilities on offer are modular functions across rating, underwriting, servicing, billing, claims, documentation and distribution, together with low and zero-cost API access, quicker and more straightforward product launches and changes, and a technology base built for openness, scalability and cost efficiency.
insureMO’s Middle Office platform supplies a wide range of insurance APIs and modular capabilities spanning product configuration, rating and quotation, underwriting, policy issuance and servicing, billing and payments, claims, document generation, and distribution. Its API-first design is intended to let insurers build and adjust capabilities without being constrained by older, monolithic systems.
Beyond the technology rollout itself, the companies frame the agreement as the start of a new phase for Protec, one built around intelligence, openness, speed and scalability.
