Sprout.ai, an intelligent claims automation platform for the insurance industry, has appointed Ian Thompson, former Group Chief Claims Officer at Zurich, as the first member of its newly created growth advisory board.
This role is effective immediately and signals Sprout.ai’s ambitions to enhance its strategic direction and innovation within the InsurTech space.
Thompson brings over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, with more than two decades in senior leadership roles.
His most recent position was Group Chief Claims Officer at Zurich, where he oversaw 8,500 employees across 200 territories, handling over 7.5m claims annually. He also held significant leadership positions at RSA and Zurich, including Regional Chief Claims Officer for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
In his new role, Thompson will guide Sprout.ai’s strategic product direction, helping shape its go-to-market strategy and supporting growth in the insurance sector.
His extensive expertise in AI, digitalisation, and data innovation, coupled with a deep understanding of customer propositions, positions him as a key asset for Sprout.ai as it continues to innovate.
