Allianz Partners UK, a global provider of roadside assistance and insurance solutions, has been reappointed as Volvo Car UK’s roadside assistance provider for another three years.

The partnership ensures that Volvo customers, whether purchasing a new or used vehicle or servicing their car at a Volvo retailer, will continue to receive premium roadside assistance from Allianz.

The renewal of this collaboration reflects Volvo Car UK’s commitment to providing seamless support to its customers.

Since first partnering in 2010, Allianz has tailored its services to accommodate the increasing shift towards electric vehicles (EVs), offering enhanced roadside solutions that include the deployment of Volvo’s diagnostic toolkit and access to specialist Volvo technicians.

Allianz Partners UK is a subsidiary of Allianz Partners, a global leader in assistance and insurance services across mobility, health, travel, and home sectors.

The company delivers roadside assistance, travel insurance, and extended warranties to major automotive brands worldwide. Volvo Car UK, the British arm of Swedish automotive giant Volvo, focuses on premium vehicle manufacturing with a strong emphasis on electrification and sustainable mobility.

A key feature of the renewed agreement is the Service Activated Roadside Assistance (SARA) programme, which provides Volvo customers who service their vehicles at registered retailers with an additional year of roadside assistance. This initiative underscores Volvo’s dedication to customer satisfaction and ensures a seamless post-service experience.

Allianz’s roadside assistance services offer customers multiple support channels, including phone-based assistance and digital reporting through the Allianz Assistance hub. Additionally, the company provides flexible mobility options in the event of a breakdown, including taxis, electric vehicles, and electric bikes, aligning with Volvo’s sustainability goals.

Marcus Latchford, chief sales & distribution officer at Allianz Partners, commented: “Over the last 15 years, our roadside assistance services for Volvo have transformed from simple repair and recovery to a comprehensive, integrated offering. We collaborate closely with Volvo’s team to drive product and innovation development, enhancing the excellent customer service included in our traditional roadside assistance package. We work with Volvo to create a feedback loop on vehicle performance, which helps them understand the real-world issues customers are experiencing and feed that both into maintenance plans and vehicle development.”

“This partnership aligns with Allianz’s commitment to embedding innovative solutions into partners’ business models whilst providing peace of mind and convenience to their customers. We are excited to continue innovating and delivering best-in-class service to Volvo Car UK.”
