Percayso Inform, a UK-based InsurTech offering data and intelligence solutions to the insurance sector, has entered into a partnership with Pizza, a new start-up insurance broker focused on disrupting the motor insurance market with its customer-first approach.

The partnership will see Pizza leverage Percayso Inform’s extensive suite of insurance intelligence tools ahead of its upcoming consumer launch in Q3.

The collaboration aims to enhance fraud prevention, streamline policy verification processes and ultimately offer a fairer, more transparent experience to policyholders.

Pizza’s mission is to rebuild trust in the motor insurance industry by offering a service that rewards responsible drivers.

A key feature of its offering is the ‘Slice Back’—a 5% reimbursement of a policyholder’s premium if no fault claims are made during the policy year. The Slice Back is issued regardless of whether the customer stays with Pizza or switches providers, reinforcing the company’s focus on fairness and customer value.

Pizza is a new entrant in the motor insurance broking space, co-founded by Sam Baker, Marc Meeking and Colin Sadler, all of whom bring a wealth of experience from various leadership roles in the sector. The start-up integrates tech-led pre-sale verification to combat fraud and ensure comprehensive protection across the policy lifecycle, benefitting both customers and insurance partners.

Percayso Inform operates a data and intelligence hub that aggregates data from multiple sources to support better business decisions for insurers, brokers, and MGAs. Its technology delivers insights through a scalable API, enabling clients to operate more efficiently and make more informed underwriting choices. Percayso’s tools are already trusted by businesses ranging from early-stage ventures to top-tier providers.

The strategic partnership supports Pizza’s tech-led mission by integrating seamless presale identity checks, fraud prevention mechanisms and KYC streamlining, crucial to delivering both consumer trust and insurer protection.

Additional details reveal that Pizza’s launch is scheduled for Q3, with the brand positioned as a fresh, consumer-friendly alternative in an insurance market currently suffering from low public trust and high fraud incidence.

Pizza co-founder and director Sam Baker said, “Consumer perception of the insurance industry is at an all-time low while insurers are battling a pandemic of fraud. Our aim is to change that. We want to create a fairer experience for our customers and turn insurance into a mutually beneficial partnership for both our customers and our insurer partners alike.”

He continued, “Connecting seamless presale identity verification, fraud prevention solutions and streamlining KYC to increase trust and protection for our insurer partners is fundamental to delivering this brand promise. Percayso was the natural choice when it came to sourcing an insurance intelligence provider. They’ve been focused on helping the insurance industry fight fraud and deliver a fairer experience to customers from day one.”

Percayso client director Chris Traill said, “It’s refreshing to see a team of industry professionals actually take a step back and look at the experience they want to deliver from the customer’s perspective, and marry that up with what insurers need to deliver fair pricing. We’re hugely excited to be working with Pizza and look forward to building the relationship as they take their business forward.”
