Send hires Laura Wathen as CFO to drive next growth

Send Technology Solutions Ltd (Send) has appointed Laura Wathen as its new chief financial officer (CFO), as the InsurTech embarks on its next phase of strategic growth and accelerates its international expansion.

Wathen joins with a strong background in financial leadership and capital raising. Her career spans roles in investment banking, venture capital, and private equity before she transitioned into operational finance positions.

In these roles, she played a pivotal role in guiding start-ups and scale-ups through multiple Series A and Series B fundraising rounds. Most recently, she served as CFO at FinTech platform Funding Xchange, which secured its Series B investment from Barclays and Foresight in 2024.

In her role at Send, Wathen will oversee the company’s financial operations, including investor relations, capital strategy, and the development of scalable financial infrastructure to support global growth.
