Duck Creek Technologies, the global intelligent solutions provider defining the future of property and casualty (P&C) and general insurance, has appointed Rajesh Raheja as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

In his role, Raheja will oversee the company’s global technology strategy, platform innovation and engineering organisation, as Duck Creek continues to expand its cloud-native and AI-driven capabilities for insurers around the world.

Announcing the appointment, Hardeep Gulati, Chief Executive Officer of Duck Creek Technologies, said: “Rajesh is a transformational technology leader with deep expertise in scaling world-class enterprise cloud platforms. His track record of driving innovation, strengthening platform reliability, and leading high-performing engineering organisations makes him an exceptional addition to our leadership team. We are excited to welcome him as we continue to invest in the future of our platform and accelerate value for our customers.”

Raheja joins Duck Creek with extensive experience in building and delivering market-leading cloud platforms.

He most recently served as Senior Vice President for Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s private cloud and AI software business, where he delivered a unified control-plane strategy and a new virtualisation solution following the acquisition of Morpheus Data—developments aimed at meeting the needs of high-security and regulated industries.

Previously, as Chief Engineering Officer and Senior Vice President at Boomi, Raheja led global R&D and oversaw major innovations after the company’s $4bn private-equity carve-out from Dell. His leadership helped deliver significant revenue growth and customer expansion, underpinned by improvements in AI, data, API, security and platform reliability.

Commenting on his appointment, Raheja said: “Duck Creek is at the forefront of reimagining insurance, leveraging cloud-native scale with AI-driven insights and agentic AI experiences to transform how carriers operate. The opportunity to advance this platform and accelerate innovation across the industry is tremendous. I’m excited to collaborate with our talented teams and strategic partners to push the boundaries of what our technology can deliver and empower insurers to achieve faster, smarter and more resilient outcomes.”

Raheja’s earlier roles include Senior Vice President of Engineering at Broadcom (CA Technologies), where he led the modernisation and expansion of the Layer7 API management portfolio. At Oracle, he held a number of leadership positions developing new products and cloud services, and played a key role in transforming on-premises integration technologies into scalable, enterprise-grade public cloud services.
