Securian Financial, a provider of insurance and protection products for financial institutions and associations, has launched My Coverage, a new digital portal designed to modernise how customers file and track credit insurance and debt protection claims.
The launch of My Coverage marks a move by Securian Financial to simplify and streamline the claims process for individuals who have purchased credit insurance or debt protection coverage. The portal is intended to make the claims journey faster, clearer and more transparent, particularly during challenging life events.
My Coverage has been developed using extensive customer research and a user-centred design approach. It enables claimants to submit claims online, upload required documentation securely, monitor claim progress in real time and access payment information instantly. The portal is available 24/7 and is optimised for mobile use, allowing customers to manage their claims from any device at any time.
The portal is aimed at individuals facing circumstances such as job loss, disability, illness or bereavement. Securian Financial said the digital-first experience was created to address common customer pain points associated with traditional claims processes, including paperwork, delays and a lack of clarity.
To use My Coverage, claimants create a secure personal account, with all data encrypted and maintained confidentially. Once a claim has been submitted and all required documentation received, Securian Financial reviews the claim within 7–10 calendar days. Approved payments are sent directly to the customer’s financial institution to cover loan payments outlined in the customer’s coverage plan.
In addition to improving the customer experience, My Coverage is designed to support financial institutions and associations by enhancing service quality and aligning with growing consumer expectations for digital communication, proactive updates and always-on self-service.

My Coverage is available nationwide to participating financial institutions and associations, with customers able to access the portal via securian.com/mycoverage.
