The launch comes as Insurify looks to remove long-standing friction from the insurance buying process.

Shopping for car insurance has historically been complex and time-consuming, often requiring consumers to navigate multiple websites, decipher policy language, and manually compare quotes. By integrating directly into ChatGPT, Insurify aims to meet users where they are already spending time and simplify insurance discovery through conversational AI.

Founded in the US, Insurify operates as a digital insurance agent licensed across all 50 states and Washington, D.C. The company allows drivers to compare quotes from leading insurers, review coverage options, and complete purchases online. Its platform aggregates vast amounts of pricing and customer data to help users make more informed insurance decisions based on their individual needs and risk profiles.

The new ChatGPT app allows users to access Insurify’s comparison tools through natural language prompts. Drawing on a proprietary database of more than 196m auto insurance quotes and over 70,000 verified customer reviews, the app delivers tailored rate estimates and side-by-side comparisons from insurers operating in the user’s area.

Within the ChatGPT environment, the app generates personalised estimates based on factors including location, vehicle type, age, credit profile, driving history, and desired coverage levels. Users can also evaluate insurers across multiple criteria such as price, customer service, coverage options, discounts, policy transparency, and overall value.

Beyond research and comparison, the app acts as an entry point into Insurify’s wider digital journey. Once users are ready to proceed, they can seamlessly continue on Insurify’s main platform, where they work directly with the company to finalise coverage and purchase a policy. This creates a connected experience from early-stage research through to transaction completion.

The launch also reflects the growing influence of AI-powered tools in consumer decision-making. With ChatGPT now serving more than 800m weekly users, Insurify views the integration as a strategic opportunity to expand its reach and make insurance shopping more accessible, transparent, and personalised.

Insurify founder and CEO Snejina Zacharia said, “Shopping for car insurance has traditionally been time-consuming, confusing, and frustrating for many drivers. With our new ChatGPT app, we’re redefining the insurance shopping experience by making it feel as simple as having a conversation. Drivers can ask questions in plain language, explore personalised quotes, and review real customer feedback, all in one place.”

She added, “People are increasingly turning to AI to help them make everyday decisions. We see this as a natural next step in our mission to make insurance shopping easier, more transparent, and more personalised.”

To access the app, users can visit Insurify’s page in the ChatGPT app directory and select “Connect”. New conversations can be started by typing “@Insurify” to receive personalised estimates, compare insurers, and explore customer insights.
