Cyber risk intelligence company KYND has appointed Aaron Aanenson as Head of Insurance, North America, strengthening its US leadership team as demand grows for deeper SME cyber risk insight.

The appointment supports KYND’s expansion across the US insurance market, where the company works with insurers and brokers to improve cyber risk visibility and underwriting accuracy.

In his new role, Aanenson will lead insurance strategy across North America while supporting insurer clients and brokers with faster underwriting decisions and clearer portfolio oversight.

Responsibilities will also include helping cyber insurers unlock growth opportunities within the SME market by improving their ability to understand and manage cyber exposure.

Aanenson brings more than 18 years of experience across cybersecurity consulting, management consulting and insurance, including roles at Bitsight and S-RM.

Background in cyber risk advisory and insurance analytics provides a practitioner-led perspective that will also inform KYND’s product development and strategic direction.

Aaron Aanenson, Head of Insurance, North America at KYND, said: “I’ve focussed my career on helping the nascent cyber insurance market grow – primarily supporting cyber underwriters to better understand the risk so they could more confidently grow their business.

“I am looking forward to making an impact at a company which is totally insurance-focused. KYND’s platform was built to serve carriers and brokers and that clarity of purpose creates a strong foundation for long-term partnership in the US market.”

Building relationships with insurers and brokers will form a key part of his remit, ensuring client needs directly shape KYND’s strategic priorities and future product capabilities.

Andy Thomas, CEO and co-founder of KYND, said: “The US is a critical market for cyber insurance innovation and growth. Aaron’s combination of hands-on experience working directly with insurers and cybersecurity expertise makes him ideally placed to strengthen our presence.

“As insurers look to unlock the significant SME cyber opportunity, they need tools that provide clarity across both individual risks and entire portfolios. Aaron will play a central role in ensuring we deliver exactly that.”

KYND’s platform transforms complex cyber risk data into clear, actionable insight, giving insurers instant visibility of cyber exposure alongside continuous monitoring capabilities.

Technology enables insurers and businesses to track evolving cyber threats and manage portfolio-level risk with greater confidence.
