Corgi Insurance has acquired the Corgi.com domain as it continues building what it describes as the first fully integrated, AI-powered insurance carrier.

The company said securing the domain strengthens its brand identity and creates a single online destination for customers, partners and developers interacting with its platform, according to FF News.

Founded in San Francisco and incubated through Y Combinator, Corgi Insurance is developing a full-stack insurance carrier designed to automate underwriting, streamline policy management and simplify how businesses purchase coverage. The platform aims to combine underwriting, distribution and policy administration into a single AI-driven system.

Nico Laqua, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Corgi Insurance, said, “Securing Corgi.com is an important step in building a global brand. As we continue to scale, having a simple, easy to find digital front door matters. Corgi.com will become the home of our community and the businesses we serve.”

The company has raised $108m in funding to date and is positioning itself as an AI-native insurer designed to reduce friction in the insurance purchasing process.

Alongside its technology platform, Corgi has also launched Corgi Cafe in San Francisco, a 24-hour space aimed at founders and technology builders looking for a collaborative environment.

Following the domain acquisition, Corgi plans to consolidate its products, developer tools and educational resources on Corgi.com while continuing to expand its presence within the insurance and technology ecosystem.
