Lemonade expands renters cover into Nebraska

Lemonade, a technology-driven insurance provider, has rolled out its renters insurance product in Nebraska, opening up its digital-first coverage to tenants across the state.

The launch means people renting in Nebraska can now access policies designed to be quick to arrange and adaptable to their needs. The product operates entirely through Lemonade’s app, where users can obtain quotes, buy and amend policies, and submit claims from a single interface. More than half of all claims are resolved instantly, meaning customers can get support rapidly following a covered incident.

Pricing begins at $5 a month, positioning the product among the cheaper renters insurance choices on the market. Drawing on internal and industry figures, the company states its renters premiums sit roughly 30% below the national average. Policyholders may also unlock further discounts by bundling multiple policies, installing qualifying home safety equipment, or opting to pay annually.

Lemonade describes its mission as becoming the world’s most loved insurance company. The InsurTech operates across renters, home, pet, car and life insurance, serving over three million customers in the US, UK and Europe with the support of a workforce of more than 1,200 people.

Lemonade Head of Renters Insurance Dan Timsit said, “Renters in Nebraska deserve the same easy insurance experience as everyone else. We built Lemonade to cut through the complexity that makes traditional insurance painful. We offer simple quotes, instant claims, and rates that don’t break the bank. Now we can deliver that to Nebraska, too.”
