Starling adds Onedox to its in-app marketplace

Starling Bank has added Onedox, an app to help consumers manage their bills and insurance, to its in-app marketplace.

Customers of Starling will now be able to view their bills, set reminders and get personalised opportunities to make savings, from within the Starling banking app.

Onedox gives consumers a single location to monitor and manage all of their various bills, with the ability to establish regular payments or annual renewals. The app also automatically monitors bills regularly, in order to identify if savings can be made or better deals are available.

It can connect with providers across the internet, gas and electricity, insurance, mobile phone, tv, transport, council tax, and water sectors. Insurance companies, including AXA, Admiral, Aviva, Direct Line and Churchill, among others, are connected to give account holders with automated updates and policy management.

Onedox CEO David Sheridan said, “Onedox provides its customers with control over their household bills and acts like a digital PA to prevent families wasting time and money. Partnering with Starling provides scope for an ever more compelling solution, whereby consumers can begin to get a single view of what they have been charged, why they have been charged, and what action they can take to reduce what they pay.”

Starling launched the in-app marketplace in February 2018, providing its customers with access to various financial services via their mobiles.

The challenger bank has partnered with a number of other FinTechs including pension provider PensionBee, digital investor Wealthsimple, and life insurer Anorak, among others. Starling has a number of other partnerships in its pipeline, it claims.
