The CareVoice launches China’s first product dedicated to startup health benefits, insurance

The CareVoice has launched the first dedicated health benefit and insurance product for startups in China.

Shanghai-based StartupCareTM is focused on helping startups attract and motivate staff members, it claims.

The service will combine premium medical insurance with a digitalised health and insurance solution to offer rewards for active teams. Employees will also gain access to 24/7 virtual care and fast-track to medical professionals. Costs for the policies start at 200 RMB ($29) a month, with differing levels and benefits available.

An example given of the app in work is a company hosting a weekly sport competition with participants being rewarded with vouchers to support their healthcare needs.

Users can also interact with a virtual health assistant to get a better understanding of symptoms and whether they need to seek medical attention.

The platform also transforms the way of designing and promoting employee health, which is being done through a partnership with Chinese insurer Ping An Health.

A soft launch was held in May this year and has already secured nearly 50 local and international startups. It has also formed partnerships with co-working spaces and accelerators including XNode, Chinaccelerator or WeWork.

Ping An Health deputy CEO Alain Peddle said, “As part of our strategy to address specific segment niches and leverage latest technologies, we partnered with The CareVoice for launching this innovative solution for startup teams. Not only their need is rather specific but also the way to engage with entrepreneurs requires totally new approaches.”

Over the coming weeks, StartupCareTM will look to further the scaling of its business, enhance its health-related offerings and increase offerings to customers.

The CareVoice is a mobile-based healthcare and insurance platform which provides consumers with tools for booking checkups, interacting with pharmacies, paying healthcare bills and monitoring general health and fitness.
