Trov to launch new auto and mobility insurance lines

On-demand insurance platform Trov has launched a new personal auto and mobility insurance product.

The service will go live in Australia over the coming months in partnership with Suncorp Group, a finance and insurance firm.

Its new application is designed to adapt to the changing behaviours of auto-owners who now have various options of getting around such as public transport, bikes and more.

Trov, which is headquartered in San Francisco, offers on-demand insurance products for headphones, wearables, tablets, phones, laptops, and more. To get cover, a consumer simply takes a picture of their item they wish to protect,

The InsurTech also offers renters protection and small business insurance.

Suncorp commercial partnerships Nick Heggie said, “We are currently in the final phase of trailing our mobility insurance product that we are excited to launch at scale next year.

“We know consumers expect simple, engaging and rewarding experiences in everything they do. This new product will do this by evolving traditional auto insurance to include cover and rewards for different forms of mobility that are now an integral part of our customers’ lives. We are excited to expand our partnership with Trov, and together explore how we can better meet our customers’ changing needs in the mobility space.”

Trov recently launched a portfolio of end-to-end digital insurance products including a new policy sales module, which covers quoting binding, billing, and adjustments. The other services were three core InsurTech modules including claims, client relationship management, and business intelligence.

The InsurTech also recently entered an agreement with Lloyd’s Banking Group to help build new products.
