omni:us collects $13m in its Series A to boost US growth

omni:us, an AI-powered claims management platform, has collected $13m in its Series A round which is being used to drive US expansion efforts.

The capital injection was co-led by Viola FinTech and CommerzVenutres, with additional participation also coming from UNIQA Ventures.

With the fresh funding, the company is looking to continue its expansion in the US

Headquartered in Germany, the company has built an AI-based claims suite which helps insurers improve their customer journeys. Its technology can automate various workflows and back-end processes to accelerate claims services.

omni:us CEO Sofie Quidenus-Wahlforss said “We have quickly realized that the US market offers exciting opportunities for our technology. Insurance companies in the US are often much larger than in Europe, and at the same time their level of digitalization is often still lower. We therefore sense a great interest in solutions like ours that help insurers become more efficient and less complex.

“We are pleased that the fresh capital gives us the opportunity to further conquer the North American market while simultaneously continuing our growth at home in the European market, at full pace.”

With the close of the round, the company has raised a total of $33m in funding to date. The InsurTech raised €1.6m in a funding round last year.
