Superscript has announced that it has become the first UK InsurTech company to be registered as a Lloyd’s broker.
The deal will see the company get access to the specialist market, Insurance Business Magazine reported.
“Becoming a Lloyd’s registered broker is a pivotal moment in the growth of our business,” Ben Rose, co-founder and chief underwriting officer at Superscript, told the publication. “Our relationship with the Lloyd’s market will fuel our international plans and see us deliver our flexible, bespoke insurance to ambitious, modern businesses worldwide.
“As an InsurTech, being granted this status is not only an endorsement of our unique end-to-end product, but also testament to how the insurance industry continues to innovate to meet 21st century business needs.”
Superscript recently rebranded from the old moniker Digital Risks. The company raised a $10.4m round in February 2020.
