dacadoo launches new health engagement service for insurers

dacadoo, which builds digitalisation services for the healthcare space, has released a new digital health engagement platform to meet changing demands of insurance customers.

The Wheel of Life solution aims to increase the digital health engagement experience for insurers and corporate wellness providers. Its product experience and data insights on user preference, to improve engagement and lifestyle guidance for users.

Headquartered in Zurich, dacadoo develops and operates a mobile-first digital health engagement platform that helps people live healthier and more active lives. It achieves this by using motivational techniques from behavioural science, gamification principals, social networking and AI-powered automated coaching.

The InsurTech claims that lifestyle choices can impact an individual’s overall health outcome by more than 40%.

A recent study from dacadoo claims that 81% of life and health insurers are turning attention to attaching a health and wellbeing proposition to their product offering as a result of the pandemic.

dacadoo president and CEO Peter Ohnemus said, “The Wheel of LifeTM makes digital health engagement easier than ever. I am very excited to have released this pioneering solution at a time when incorporating healthier habits and leading better lifestyles is so crucial.

“Additionally, Life & Health insurers now have a tangible solution to both keeping their insured members healthy, focusing on prevention of lifestyle-derived health conditions, but also a way to incorporate a #wecare strategy, which is at the peak of importance in the new normal of the stakeholder economy.”

dacadoo’s Digital Health Engagement Platform (DHEP) and the Wheel of Life service will be available for insurers and corporate health providers in early 2021. Users will be able to measure and quantify their physical and mental health, the quality of their sleep and nutrition, their mindfulness, their physical activity and even their smoking habits or alcohol intake.

This will build a score from 0 to 1,000 rating their health. Users will then be able to take steps to improve this and their health.
