InsurTech100 company Akur8 has established a partnership with AXA Direct Japan to help enhance the pricing process.
The deal will help AXA Direct Japan to improve its pricing process and foster innovation within the insurance space in Japan.
This is the first partnership Akur8 has made in Asia.
Akur8 automates risk and demand modelling through its proprietary AI technology. The benefits of this includes a reduction in modelling time which can accelerate the time to market, the creation of more predictive models and improve transparency.
Akur8 CEO Samuel Falmagne said, “Akur8 is delighted to announce this partnership with ADJ, to empower them with a cutting-edge solution allowing them to model both risks and customers’ conversion behaviour in a much quicker, more reliable and transparent way.
“It is a very special moment for us to forge our first partnership in Asia, with one of the most forward-looking and innovative insurers in the Japanese market.”
AXA Direct Japan chief technical officer and chief actuary, corporate officer Kenichi Sato said, “The partnership with Akur8 illustrates ADJ’s commitment to delivering the highest quality and best experience possible to our customers, by partnering with the best-in-class player in their field, for a process as core as pricing decision. It is also a strong embodiment of the pursuit of our exciting digital transformation journey.”
Late last year, Akur8 teamed up with fellow InsurTech100 company Wakam to drive innovation within insurance. The deal will see Akur8’s pricing technology help enhance Wakam’s pricing processes.
