InsurTech platform AppMan scores $4.6m in its Series A

AppMan, an InsurTech company based in Thailand, has netted $4.6m in a funding round to help it grow across the APAC region.  

The investment capital was supplied by Private Equity Trust for SME Growing Together 1, Krungsri Finnovate, Casmatt, KTBST and Poems Ventures.

With this equity infusion, the company hopes to further its expansion and development efforts across the APAC region. Fostering this growth will include bolstering its AI for insights screening.

Founded in 2011, the company’s flagship product, AgentMate, is a an electronic point of sales solution that simplifies the purchase of life and non-life insurance policies. The service also has a smart chatbot to help customers whenever they have a query.

The company also offers clients tools to digital transform their operations, with clients in insurance, banking, health and more. Some of its other products include financial need analysis, electronic quotation, e-application, automated underwriting and claims support.

AppMan CEO and co-founder Thanapoom Chareonsiri said, “The company is honoured to be partners with leading financial and investment institutions, and insurance businesses.
