First Connect Insurance Services, a digital insurance platform and subsidiary of Hippo Insurance Group, has added a product offering from biBERK.
biBERK is an insurance company for small business that’s part of the Berkshire Hathaway Insurance Group.
The new product offering includes workers’ compensation, professional liability and business owners’ policies (BOP).
biBERK said it makes it easy for small business owners to protect their businesses against operational risks. Its offering allows agents to quote, bind and issue a policy online in just five minutes.
The carrier offers coverage on both new ventures and previously uninsured businesses.
Aviad Pinkovezky, First Connect president, said, “Business owners face a variety of operational risks, from accidents and injuries, to natural disasters and professional errors.
“By partnering with biBERK we are adding another trusted brand to the First Connect portfolio and providing independent agents with the small business coverage their clients need to better protect their companies.”
Earlier this year, First Connect partnered with Blink to offer personal cyber insurance to independent agents that participate in First Connect’s InsurTech marketplace platform.
Blink’s Cyber Protection, backed by Chubb, a property and casualty insurance company, provides stand-alone coverage that insures customers against cyber risks such as cyberbullying, online extortion and identity theft, and covers electronic data restoration and replacement costs.
Hippo Insurance Services recently teamed up with Ring to offer home insurance products in North Carolina designed to protect homes against water damage, fire, and break-ins.
Hippo is a property & casualty (P&C) insurance agent with commercial and personal lines products underwritten by various insurance companies. The company’s goal is to make homes safer and better protected so customers spend less time worrying about the burdens of homeownership.
The programme, Hippo said, brings together the benefits of Ring Alarm and its own home insurance products. New customers who opt in to receive the complimentary alarm security kit from ring receive a smart home discount on their insurance premium with Hippo.
