HealthTech and InsurTech leader, dacadoo, has joined hands with the prominent food and drug retailer, Albertsons Companies, to power their Sincerely Health platform.
The Zurich-based dacadoo is renowned for its dynamic digital health engagement platforms, while Albertsons, spanning multiple grocery app and website banners like Safeway, Vons, and Jewel-Osco, is an American giant in the retail industry.
The partnership aims to enhance lives by creating a more connected, educated, and rewarding health and wellness journey for customers. Sincerely Health is designed to facilitate informed decisions regarding various lifestyle aspects, including food, physical activity, sleep, and mindfulness.
dacadoo’s technology platform stands at the core of its offering, supporting customer digital transformation. It amasses principles from seven different areas, such as physical and mental health, sleep quality, nutrition, mindfulness, physical activity, and lifestyle habits like smoking or alcohol intake. This amalgamation is distilled into an overall health score, a unique feature that presents a holistic health quantification, ranging from 0 (poor) to 1,000 (excellent).
On the other hand, Albertsons Companies offers a wide range of food and pharmaceutical products and services. Its commitment to customers’ health and wellness is mirrored in the Sincerely Health platform that aligns with their ongoing digitalisation and customisation strategy.
The collaboration involves the integration of dacadoo’s digital health engagement platform, Wheel of Life™, into the Sincerely Health program. This sophisticated platform measures the baseline Health Score of Albertsons’ customers, encouraging them to make healthier choices and improvements.
Albertsons Cos.’ VP of Health and Managed Care, Irina Pelphrey, acknowledged the significance of the partnership with dacadoo. She stated, “While customers should always talk with their doctors, by partnering with dacadoo, we were able to give our customers a connected and tailored view of their health across food, nutrition, activity, mental well-being and pharmacy services, enabling them to make more informed choices.”
Peter Ohnemus, President and CEO of dacadoo, expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration. He said, “I am happy dacadoo’s Predict and Prevent strategy powered by our Digital Health Engagement Platform is now supporting Albertsons Companies, a leading food and drug retailer in the United States, to help millions of consumers pursue a health and wellness journey in their daily lives.”
