Marsh McLennan, a leading professional services firm in risk, strategy, and people, has appointed David Liston as the US and Canada Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), effective immediately.
In his new role, Liston will collaborate with leaders from Marsh, Mercer, Guy Carpenter, and Oliver Wyman to foster innovation and collaboration across business units. His focus will be on maximising client impact and driving business growth in the US and Canada.
He will be reporting to Pat Tomlinson, Marsh McLennan US and Canada CEO and President of Mercer, as well as Hans van Heukelum, Marsh McLennan global CCO.
Liston brings a wealth of experience to his new position, having previously served as Marsh US and Canada Corporate Segment Leader.
He also played a key role in driving mid-market offerings for the region. His appointment follows the transition of Susan Potter to the role of President, Mercer US and Canada earlier this year.
With over 30 years of experience at Marsh, Liston has held various client-facing and leadership roles. He has served as the US Sales and Marketing Leader, as well as the New York Office Head and the Seattle Office Head for Marsh.
Pat Tomlinson, Marsh McLennan US and Canada CEO and President of Mercer, said, “David’s client-first attitude, extensive leadership experience, and collaboration mindset will bring immense value to our colleagues, clients, and business.”
David Liston US and Canada Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Marsh added, “Two of the things that inspire me about Marsh McLennan are the scope of our expertise and the actionable solutions we offer clients across our four businesses. I am eager to collaborate with Pat and our colleagues throughout the company to provide our clients with innovative solutions that enable them to thrive in today’s challenging business environment.”
