Munich Re HealthTech, a leading software technology provider in the health insurance industry, has announced the promotion of Bilal Ramadan to Chief Executive Officer.
The appointment signifies a strategic move by Munich Re HealthTech to fortify its position in the market. Reporting to Owais Ansari, Head of Munich Re Life & Health for MENA, Pakistan & Takaful Business, Ramadan will lead the company’s strategy to enhance its software solutions for the health insurance sector.
The announcement follows the departure of former CEO Gerry Raftopoulos in February 2024, who played a pivotal role in shaping Munich Re HealthTech over the past 28 years.
Under his leadership, the company expanded its services to clients across 19 markets spanning Europe, Latin America, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
Having officially assumed his new role on March 1, 2024. Ramadan brings a wealth of experience to his new position, having served as the Chief Delivery Officer at Munich Re HealthTech since January 2016. Throughout his 27-year career with the Group, he has demonstrated expertise in various aspects of health insurance, including technology, management consulting, and related practices.
