Aspen, a global provider of insurance and reinsurance services, has announced the appointment of Tony Bishop as chief data & analytics officer, effective immediately.

In this expanded role, Bishop will oversee Aspen’s recently launched Data Labs and Architecture in addition to his current remit of managing the company’s data and analytics strategy.

Aspen specialises in insurance and reinsurance, delivering innovative risk management solutions to clients worldwide.

The company is known for its commitment to leveraging technology to enhance customer experience and optimise operations.

Bishop, who joined Aspen in 2022 as head of data & analytics, brings extensive expertise in data strategy and execution.

His career spans data and business intelligence engineering and architecture, equipping him with the foundational knowledge necessary to design and implement enterprise-ready data platforms, governance, and education programmes within the insurance sector.

In his new role, Bishop will report to Aspen Group chief operating officer Rob Houghton. Bishop’s leadership has already driven significant advancements in Aspen’s data and AI strategy, including an industry-first partnership with Microsoft to pilot Purview and the launch of Aspen Data Labs.
