Insured Nomads, a leading global provider of health insurance and assistance products for modern companies and travellers, has partnered with Global Nomad Pass to incentivise travellers, remote workers, and digital nomads to shop with local businesses.

The primary goal of this collaboration is to drive additional revenue to merchants such as salons, spas, restaurants, bars, co-living and co-working spaces, local attractions, hotels, wellness services, and fitness studios.

This will enhance support for local economies while providing additional value to their members.

The initiative reflects a commitment to supporting local economic growth and enhancing the overall travel experience for digital nomads.

Insured Nomads is renowned for its health insurance and assistance products tailored for modern travellers and remote workers.

It is known for its award-winning services and partnerships with major insurers such as Allianz Partners, Nationwide, and Crum & Forster to offer comprehensive global coverage.

Global Nomad Pass provides a membership programme that offers exclusive discounts at locally owned businesses in over 25 popular destinations for digital nomads.

The service is designed to help digital nomads discover and support local businesses while enjoying significant savings.

As part of the new benefit, Insured Nomads members will receive an annual Global Nomad Pass membership as a non-insured benefit.

After purchasing a policy, members will get an email with instructions on activating their Global Nomad Pass and adding it to their Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

Safir Jamal, CEO of Global Nomad Pass, commented, “We’re thrilled to partner with such a forward-looking company that understands the evolving attitudes and behaviours of the world’s digital nomad community. Together with the Insured Nomads team, we’ve developed an exciting way to deliver more value to Insured Nomads members, enabling them to save money while discovering and supporting local hidden gems around the world.”

“As the modern citizen elects to live and work from a destination desk in these fabulous global cities, it is essential that we do our part to support the small business so that the locals benefit more from the influx of remote workers and the global tech migration to these cities. We are confident that this partnership with Global Nomad Pass to help local economies benefit from digital nomads being in their cities is a win-win as it also provides great savings to our members,” said Andrew Jernigan, CEO of Insured Nomads.

Prithwiraj (Raj) Choudhury, the Lumry Family Associate Professor at the Harvard Business School has been researching on the rise of the “work from anywhere” movement and digital nomadism. He commented, “It is clear that digital nomads, and remote workers in general, can be a boon to any economy — spending money, facilitating collaboration and spurring innovation.”
