Cover-More Blue Insurance Services Limited, a subsidiary of the Cover-More Group, has announced the appointment of Jason Whelan as its new managing director.
Whelan has been with the company for nearly two decades, most recently serving as chief product officer for Cover-More in Europe. In his new role, he will continue to report to Cover-More Europe CEO Donna Dorairajoo, according to FF News.
Cover-More Blue Insurance Services Limited, formerly known as Blue Insurance Limited, was established in 2003 and became part of the Cover-More Group in 2018. The company rebranded to its current name in 2023 as part of a deeper integration within the Cover-More Group, which is a subsidiary of Zurich Insurance Group.
As the new managing director, Whelan will be responsible for spearheading the company’s strategy, driving growth through partnerships, and expanding its direct-to-consumer channels.
Additionally, he will focus on enhancing the company’s core capabilities as it continues to expand its operations across Ireland and the European Economic Area (EEA).
He has a long-standing career with Cover-More Blue, having held various roles over the past twenty years. His extensive experience in product management and his deep knowledge of the Irish insurance market have made him a key figure within the company.
Whelan has been instrumental in integrating Blue Insurance into the Cover-More Group, further cementing his leadership role within the organisation.
