Under the new partnership, customers who experience a flight delay of two hours or more will be given two options: they can either access one of over 1,300 VIP airport lounges worldwide or receive a real-time cash payout of €25 per person for up to two delayed flights.
Blink Parametric monitors all registered flights and notifies travellers immediately when delays occur. Additionally, if luggage is delayed upon arrival at the destination, customers can enter a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) number into Berlin Direkt’s online portal to receive an immediate €50 payment.
The partnership marks a significant step in enhancing the travel insurance experience by integrating real-time solutions for compensation.
Payments to affected travellers will be processed instantly via bank transfer or PayPal, easing the inconvenience caused by travel disruptions.
