Blink Parametric has expanded its innovative parametric travel insurance offering by launching FlyEasy in partnership with Zurich Indonesia and Zurich Edge.
This new flight disruption cover provides real-time benefits such as VIP lounge access for delayed flights, seamlessly integrated into Zurich Indonesia’s travel insurance product via the Zurich Edge platform.
FlyEasy leverages parametric technology to deliver instant benefits when a flight delay is detected. Customers who pre-register their flight details benefit from real-time monitoring, and if their flight is delayed by at least two hours, they automatically receive lounge access. This fully digital process eliminates the need for traditional claims filing, simplifying the experience for travellers. Lounge passes are valid for up to six months, offering flexibility to customers who may not use them on the day of disruption.
This launch is part of a broader agreement between Blink Parametric and Zurich signed in January 2024, which aims to extend award-winning flight delay solutions to customers across the Asia Pacific region. The integration with Zurich Indonesia follows a successful earlier rollout with Singapore-based OTA Klook in March, showcasing Blink’s commitment to enhancing travel experiences throughout the region.
