Prudential Financial has announced a strategic partnership with Empathy, a pioneering bereavement support platform.
This collaboration aims to enhance workplace benefits by offering holistic bereavement support to families during their time of loss.
The partnership is designed to address the multifaceted challenges families face following the death of a loved one. By integrating Empathy’s comprehensive suite of bereavement tools into Prudential’s services, beneficiaries will receive enhanced support that covers everything from funeral arrangements to probate and estate settlement.
Prudential Group Insurance is expanding its beneficiary support services to include an array of resources such as a beneficiary hub, a wellness journal, and claim assistance. This initiative underscores Prudential’s commitment to being a supportive pillar for policyholders and their families through all life stages.
Empathy leverages advanced technology to provide personalised assistance during the grieving process. The platform offers support through dedicated Care Managers who guide beneficiaries through each decision and challenge, ensuring they receive the necessary emotional and practical support.
This collaboration not only strengthens Prudential’s position as a leader in providing holistic support but also marks a significant step forward in the way companies approach employee benefits related to bereavement and loss.
Prudential, headquartered in the United States, is renowned for its broad range of insurance and financial services designed to provide financial protection and peace of mind for its customers. Empathy, on the other hand, specializes in easing the emotional and logistical burdens faced by those grieving, by blending cutting-edge technology with compassionate care.
Jessica Gillespie, Prudential’s head of Group Insurance Product and Underwriting, emphasized the importance of the partnership: “By enhancing our beneficiary support, Prudential is reaffirming its commitment to providing access to holistic support to our customers in the moments that matter,” she explained.
Ron Gura, co-founder and CEO of Empathy, also commented on the partnership, “Our relationship with Prudential is an extraordinary opportunity for us to help more families through the complexities of loss by blending advanced technology with heartfelt care,” he said. “Together we’re taking a big step toward creating a world where every individual receives the support they need when they need it most.”
