Tangram unveils new multi-line insurance program for security guard industry

Tangram, a MGA and national program manager, has launched a new multi-line insurance program specifically tailored to the security guard niche.

This innovative offering, available via the Accelerant Risk Exchange and Service Insurance Companies, provides insureds access to specialty liability and workers’ compensation insurance.

The reason for the new product stems from Tangram’s commitment to enhancing its service portfolio within niche markets. This new offering enables Tangram to provide a more comprehensive insurance solution to the security guard industry, which includes both unarmed and armed security firms.

Tangram operates as a managing general agency (MGA) and national program manager with a focused market presence. They specialize in delivering tailored insurance solutions to specific niches, enhancing coverage and service delivery through innovative approaches and partnerships.

The new multi-line program offers specialty liability and workers’ compensation insurance, catering specifically to the needs of the security guard sector. This program marks an expansion in Tangram’s insurance offerings, previously known for workers’ compensation, now including general liability insurance.

The coverage options under this program are uniquely designed for the security guard niche, reflecting Tangram’s deep understanding of and commitment to this industry. Looking ahead, Tangram plans to introduce additional product lines for this niche by early 2025, including property and commercial auto insurance.

The program is now open for submissions for insureds in multiple states including CA, FL, NY, NJ, VA, PA, TX, and IL, with coverage starting from February 1, 2025. It is noteworthy that the workers’ compensation insurance component is available nationwide.

“The addition of these new insurance products for Security Guards is a clear demonstration of Tangram’s commitment to being a comprehensive insurance solution for the niches we serve,” Tracy Bernard, SVP of Program Strategy at Tangram said. “Further, we are extremely excited to enter this new partnership with Accelerant, a company that is changing the way program managers think about capacity. We hope it is the first of many product launches with the team at Accelerant.”
