MAWDY and Vittoria Assicurazioni expand partnership to enhance service offerings in Italy

MAWDY, the assistance subsidiary of the MAPFRE Group, and Vittoria Assicurazioni, Italy’s eighth-largest non-life insurance company by premium volume, have reinforced their partnership with a new service provision alliance.

The collaboration aims to expand the range of services available to their customers and solidify their leadership in the Italian insurance and assistance markets.

The strengthened alliance seeks to enhance service offerings across various ecosystems, including automotive, health, legal, and pet care. Through a series of transactions, both companies intend to improve customer experience and service quality.

MAWDY operates in 23 countries, specialising in digital distribution models and providing services that complement traditional insurance solutions. It is part of MAPFRE, a multinational insurance group headquartered in Spain, with a strong presence in Latin America and Europe.

Under the new agreement, Vittoria will acquire a 49.9% stake in MAWDY Services Italia, a key entity offering automotive services in the country. In return, MAWDY will take an equivalent 49.9% stake in Vittoria’s service startups through a newly formed joint venture called Vittoria Servizi Legali. This entity will oversee ComeStai and Easy Legal, two companies specialising in health and legal services, respectively.

Additionally, MAPFRE will acquire a 1.4% stake in Vittoria Assicurazioni.

The ultimate goal is to provide the Client with an increasingly complete and efficient ecosystem, capable of responding to different needs and expectations.”
